  • “DaHunk” 17 year old Thoroughbred gelding 15.3hh.  Dahunk is one of our school horses.  He is gentle and quite reliably slow.  When he was young he was a racehorse and then he spent many years working as a pony horse for a race horse trainer.  He has arthritis which we successfully manage with no treatments other than routine exercise.  He carries children and adults, beginners to high intermediate riders.  He goes at walk, trot, and canter both ways, can jump low easy courses, and has evented successfully at the beginner-novice level.  He also goes trail riding.  He is easy and pleasant to ride with a big showy trot and a rocking horse canter.  We call him Mr. Rhythm because he has an amazing ability to match tempo on our musical rides.  He has a very fancy pedigree going back to many legends in Thoroughbred racing:  Bold Ruler, Native Dancer, Count Fleet , and Round Table.  We don’t need to sell him that bad since he works well for the lessons but if you can use him please contact us.  Price is negotiable, ranging from not much to nothing.
