About Laura Laura Reynolds is the manager of Alohomora Farm. She has an extensive background in Animal Science, having earned two academic degrees in the subject from UC Davis in the 1980’s. After college she managed a sheep farm and then a dairy farm in Northwestern Montana for many years. Upon arriving at Alohomora Farm and switching her focus to equine matters she earned teaching certifications from the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA) in Eventing and Stable Management. More recently she has completed courses in Hoof Trimming from Pete Ramey and in Equine Nutrition from Dr. Eleanor Kellon. Laura currently studies Dressage under Sabine Kallas of Jackson, WY. When not working with horses, Laura enjoys gardening, dancing, hiking, and matters pertaining to renewable energy and energy conservation. Laura lives on the farm with several cats, Hana the dog, and her husband Dr. Walter Rowntree, a Pocatello veterinarian. |
